I figured Jumpstart isn't imperative, but still wanted to check it out. I received an email from our school yesterday reminding me to submit the medical forms and I mentioned in the email I hadn't heard anything, and the assistant principal said she would also contact help. I did submit a help request on Friday and didn't hear anything. I don’t really like them, but they’re cheap and serve their purpose for what they need to do on them.

We got a chromebook for our older child in the spring. Kids are resilient.įorgot to add that for now my K child is using an old iPad but we will either get the chromebook from the school or buy our own chromebook. This is going to suck, but it will be fine. We’re not homeschooling because we both WFH and don’t have time to seek and teach our own curriculum. Not that I was considering it, but my child is too old to hold back. We use ABC Mouse, Khan Academy and Starfall regularly and it’s practice enough for my kindergartener. It’s not totally useful, but maybe poke around a bit just to get used to navigating the online tools/websites. As with my older child, we logged in and did the first day and then forgot to do it any other day this week. The jumpstart program is not new, and it was around for my older child.

Also got the same email with the missing login info, but I emailed the help address listed on the notice and they responded with the info right away. I have an older child in MCPS but also have one starting in K and have similar anxieties. Have you found any tutorials for yourself? I could use some pointers as I'm sure I will be an awful teacher.

"Students will access Kindergarten Jumpstart starting August 3 by signing in to myMCPS Classroom with their username and password provided here.Īnyone used Jumpstart yet? Is it helpful? I received an mail to login with the credentials provided. I'll start: I registered my kid for the K JumpStart program.
